This is a view of our funeral home from the street. The home was originally the residence of the Davis family, and was purchased by Shannon Funeral Service in 1941. The home is believed to have be built in the late 1890's, and except for the three additions made to the rear, it stands in its original condition.

As you walk down the hallway, to the right will be our visitation rooms, and to the left will be sitting rooms. These were additions to the Davis home. The first addition was added on in 1955. The second addition, which would be the top two photos, was added in 1965, when the business felt a need for more space.

The lounge is in the rear of the building at the end of the main hall. It was added to the building at the same time the back two visitation rooms were added on. The lounge has plenty chairs for our families and their guest to relax. There is a coke machine, and a complimentary coffee service. We also provide refrigerators if our families would like to bring in refreshments.

The Children's Room is a area that was added on during our recent addition of a chapel in 1998. To the left you will see a photograph of the room, and as you can see we have several things for children to enjoy such as books, videos, and games.

The chapel is at the very rear of the funeral home. The chapel was built in 1998, and can seat 200 people. If there is the need for a larger funeral (more than 200), we have the ability to broadcast the funeral to other rooms of our facility with the help of our monitor system so that more people who attend may be able to hear and see the service. This monitor system also allows us to videotape funeral services, if families wish us to do so. We felt that giving our families the option of having funerals in a chapel setting, without the inconvenience of moving the funeral to an area church, was very important. It also allows us more flexibility in scheduling, to provide for our families in their times of need.
